RID/NAD NIC Performance & Interview Test PreparationWorkshop being offered in Lancaster.

This workshop focuses on techniques and practical skills for interpreters - CODAs, second language learners and Deaf people - considering taking the NIC Performance Exam. Participants will have hands on practice to improve voicing, signing and answering ethical questions for the Interview portion of the NIC test.

Presenter Biography: Tara Potterveld is a Nationally Certified Legal Interpreter, R.I.D. CT & CI, SC:L. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics of ASL and a M.A. in Art from California State University at Northridge. Tara completed an 18-month certificate program, Interpreting in the American Legal System. Tara presented workshops at RID National Conference in 2007 and 2009. Tara is also a Local Test Administrator (LTA) for RID.
